Who

Aevitas Property Partners is an investor in a third-party managed fund, Kautilya Real Estate Fund (“KREF”), based in India.

What

KREF provides debt to residential real estate developers for the purposes of growth capital or construction finance. The Fund invests with developers that have a track record and significant personal involvement in their projects. The Fund is able to provide capital on competitive terms with structures tailored to match projects and to meet the payment and other flexibility required by local developers.

Where

KREF restricts its focus to India and is currently active in Delhi and Mumbai. Other major cities will be considered in time.

Why

There is a shortage of project finance for small-medium sized developers focusing on middle income and low-cost housing projects.
